In a media career spanning two decades, Joseph has worked in the fields of advertising, journalism and corporate communications. He is the author of the pioneering title: Corporate Communications: A 21st Century Primer, published globally by Response Books. Corporate Communications is among the first ten books on Corporate Communications to be published worldwide. In 2007, The Corporate Communications Primer, now in its third impression, was listed in the US Library of Congress, the world’s largest library, as a pre-eminent title in the area.

Born and brought up in Chennai (Madras), Joseph completed his schooling at Don Bosco Matriculation Higher Secondary School. In 1990, he graduated from Loyola College with a Bachelor of Commerce and in 1992, with a postgraduate diploma in Mass Communications from Madras Christian College, Chennai. Joseph went on to pursue his Masters in Journalism and Media Studies at Cardiff University, UK.

Writing has been, for Joseph, a lifelong passion-turned-profession. In 1990, he first joined Reflections Advertising as a junior copywriter and then as a sub editor at Aside, India’s first city magazine. He was part of the founding team of India’s first neighborhood newspapers. He has also contributed to the United Nations research program in 1993. Since his return to India, he has worked at Goldwire Communications. He has also served as the Editor of Business Mandate—South India’s leading management magazine. He has also been Content Editor for 31 corporate websites.

In 1998, Joseph helped to co-found Median, one of India’s first Corporate Communications firms. Joseph has also contributed the Far Eastern Economic Review, Europe Today, Hindu Business Line, Economic Times and a host of other publications. Over the course of his career, Joseph has worked on brand campaigns for Cardiff Euro City 1995, CII Kinley Water, MRF Tyres, Motorola ISG, Green Peace. As consultant to O&M PR Worldwide, Joseph has led global branding initiatives for Apollo Hospitals, IBM, iGate and Quintant.

Over the years, Joseph has been associated with the performing arts, coupled with the ardent desire to travel and experience new cultures. He lives with his family in Trivandrum.
